Contemporary art and exhibition photography by Daniel Schäfer Studio documenting the spring 2026 programme at Hauser & Wirth Menorca, located on Illa del Rei in Mahón harbour.
The season brought together an exhibition by British artist Martin Creed and a new outdoor sculpture trail selected by Spanish artist Cristina Iglesias, featuring works by Mona Hatoum, Ali Cherri, Latifa Echakhch and Rayyane Tabet.
Creed’s exhibition explored the relationship between art, space and perception through painting and installation, including Work No. 3891: Half the air in a given space, an immersive work in which hundreds of balloons transform the visitor’s experience of the gallery.
Across the island, the sculpture trail brought contemporary artworks into dialogue with Menorca’s Mediterranean landscape, historic architecture and surrounding sea. Selected by Cristina Iglesias, the presentation invited visitors to experience sculpture through movement, materiality and its relationship to place.
Commissioned by Hauser & Wirth, Daniel Schäfer Studio’s photographic documentation brings together the exhibition, individual artworks and their architectural and natural settings, creating a visual record of the gallery’s spring 2026 programme.
