An image-making practice shaped through the dialogue between conceptual editor Erika Gómez and photographer Daniel Schäfer.

Through photographic commissions across Art, Architecture, Interiors, Hospitality and Luxury Brands, the studio develops still and moving images that move beyond representation into a field of experience, where light, composition and atmosphere shape perception.

“Rather than producing isolated images, the studio approaches each project through the development of a visual language conceived specifically for each commission and intended to endure over time.”

PRACTICE.
At the core of the studio’s practice lies a tension between perception and construction:

» On one side, the image as an act of seeing - immediate, intuitive, sensory.
» On the other, the image as a system - articulated, structured, sustained.

This dual approach allows each image to feel both spontaneous and structured at the same time.

“At Daniel Schäfer Studio, each project is approached as a visual narrative, where intuition, clarity, intention, and precision coexist within the same language. A body of work where images acquire an iconic condition and remain present and relevant over time.”
» Daniel Schäfer.
