Cristine Bedfor Málaga by Marta de la Rica.

Located in the historic centre of Málaga, Cristine Bedfor occupies a restored 19th-century residence originally designed by architect Gerónimo Cuervo. Conceived by Cristina Lozano, with interiors by Marta de la Rica, the hotel unfolds as an imagined world where architecture, storytelling and personal memory become inseparable.

Inspired by the fictional childhood of Cristine Bedfor, the interiors bring together Andalusian heritage, British influences, antique furnishings, handcrafted textiles and a distinctive interplay of colour and pattern. Each of the 27 rooms develops its own identity, transforming the historic building into a collection of intimate, interconnected narratives.

Through an editorial photographic approach, Daniel Schäfer Studio documents the relationship between architecture, interior design and atmosphere, exploring how objects, materials, natural light and carefully composed details contribute to the character of a place.

The photographic series moves between architectural documentation and visual storytelling, capturing a contemporary interpretation of hospitality rooted in history, imagination and the experience of inhabiting a space.
