The Feuerle Collection Berlin by John Pawson.

A photographic documentation of The Feuerle Collection, a private art collection and non-profit cultural institution in Berlin, housed in a former telecommunications bunker transformed by British architect John Pawson.

Founded in 2016 by Désiré Feuerle and Sara Puig, the collection brings together early Imperial Chinese stone and lacquer furniture, ancient Khmer sculptures and international contemporary art, creating unexpected dialogues across cultures, historical periods and artistic traditions.

John Pawson’s architectural intervention preserves the monumental character of the former bunker, allowing its raw concrete surfaces, vast spaces and carefully controlled lighting to become an integral part of the experience. Architecture and art coexist in an atmosphere shaped by darkness, silence and contemplation.

Photographed by Daniel Schäfer Studio for AD España, the series explores the relationship between art, architecture and perception, documenting the collection through its sculptural presence, spatial composition and distinctive use of light.
