Golden Times by Spanish Architect Ramón Esteve. Rome.

Interior and architectural photography by Daniel Schäfer Studio documenting Golden Times, a private penthouse in Rome designed by Spanish architect Ramón Esteve.

The residence is defined by a distinctive interplay of classical architectural references and contemporary interior design. Warm limestone tones, expansive marble surfaces and refined golden details establish a coherent material palette throughout the apartment.

A monumental outdoor terrace introduces a more architectural dimension to the project. Framed by columns and symmetrical façades, the space brings together contemporary outdoor furniture, sculptural planters and Mediterranean greenery, opening towards panoramic views of Rome.

Inside, the dining and living areas combine marble, brass-toned architectural elements, sculptural lighting and carefully selected furniture. The interiors balance the richness of their materials with a restrained spatial composition, allowing artworks and decorative objects to become part of the architectural narrative.

In the private spaces, marble-clad bathrooms, freestanding sculptural forms and illuminated display cabinets extend the residence’s material language, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and understated opulence.

Photographed by Daniel Schäfer Studio in collaboration with Cristina Giménez, the series explores the relationship between architecture, interiors and decorative detail, capturing the residence through its carefully composed spaces, warm light and distinctive materiality.
