Berlin Residence by Chris Glass.

Located in Berlin-Mitte, this private residence was transformed by American interior designer Chris Glass into a richly layered home defined by expressive colour, collectible furniture and contemporary art.

Occupying two floors of a partially reconstructed historic building, the 300-square-metre apartment was reorganised to create a series of distinctive domestic environments. Deep blues, soft greens and shades of pink establish different atmospheres throughout the residence, allowing each room to develop its own visual identity.

One of the most remarkable spaces is the circular living room, conceived as a contemporary orangerie. Surrounded by terraces and filled with natural light, the room brings together lush vegetation, vintage furniture and artworks. Sofas by Ico Parisi, sourced through Original in Berlin, coexist with a Delphine table by Jonathan Adler, Couture poufs by Lorena Bozzoli and suspended planters by Atelier Haussmann.

The owner's art collection plays an essential role in the interiors. Works by Christian Rex van Minnen, Christopher Winter and Amir Fattal contribute to an environment in which contemporary art, vintage design and personal collecting intersect.

A sculptural metal staircase leads to a second living room beneath the building's dome. Dark green walls, circular windows and carefully selected furnishings create a more intimate atmosphere, contrasting with the openness and abundant vegetation of the lower floor.

Photographed by Daniel Schäfer Studio and published in Architectural Digest Spain, the editorial series documents the relationship between colour, art, furniture and architecture, capturing the distinctive character of Chris Glass's interior design.
