Casa Roser. Barcelona.
Located in Barcelona’s residential district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Casa Roser is the private residence of interior designer Roser Torres, founder of Studio Nido. Set within a 1970s building, the 260-square-metre apartment was completely renovated in collaboration with architect Eduardo Benítez Niño, transforming the original layout into a contemporary home shaped by art, design and personal collections.
The architectural intervention establishes a restrained backdrop for an eclectic selection of furniture, sculptural objects and contemporary artworks. Natural materials, including wood, marble and metal, coexist with mid-century design pieces and works by artists and designers such as Sabine Marcelis. A palette of neutral tones allows the colours, forms and textures of the collection to define the character of each space.
Inspired by the relaxed domestic atmosphere of Los Angeles, the interiors balance architectural clarity with a playful approach to composition. Natural light, carefully considered proportions and the relationship between furniture and artworks create a home that reflects the personal vision of its owner.
Photographed by Daniel Schäfer Studio for Architectural Digest Spain, the editorial series documents the interiors through spatial compositions, architectural details and intimate observations of objects and materials. The images capture the dialogue between contemporary interior design, collectible furniture and art, revealing the distinctive identity of a home conceived as both a living space and a personal collection.
