Inside Camper with Miguel Fluxá
In Mallorca, Camper’s identity is closely connected to its family heritage, design culture and independent approach to footwear. Founded in 1975, the Spanish brand has developed an international presence while maintaining strong ties to the island where its story began.
For El País Semanal, Daniel Schäfer Studio photographed Miguel Fluxá, Camper’s CEO, as part of an editorial feature examining the brand’s evolution, creative philosophy and approach to sustainability. The photographic series moves between portraiture, architecture and the working environments of the company, offering a perspective on the people and places behind Camper.
Photographed at Son Fortesa in Alaró and at the company’s facilities in Mallorca, the series brings together portraits, interiors and details of the spaces where Camper’s identity takes shape. The images also document aspects of the brand’s Recrafted initiative, connecting craftsmanship, material culture and contemporary design.
Combining brand editorial photography and portraiture, the series presents Camper beyond its products, documenting the relationship between leadership, creative practice and the environments in which the brand operates.
