In Ibiza, the house and sculptural garden of Heinz Mack emerge as a quiet extension of his lifelong exploration of light, rhythm and perception. Commissioned by HTSI / Financial Times, this editorial photography story by Daniel Schäfer Studio documents the relationship between architecture, landscape and artistic practice through the atmospheric and contemplative lens of Daniel Schäfer. The series moves through Mack’s sculptures within the Mediterranean garden, his studio and private interiors, tracing a continuous dialogue between light, matter and space.

Rather than simply portraying a private residence in Ibiza, the project explores a way of inhabiting space shaped by the artist’s perception of time, rhythm and materiality. The images construct a visual language positioned between editorial documentation and artistic interpretation.

Through a painterly approach to architecture and interior photography, Daniel Schäfer Studio develops visual narratives connecting contemporary art, spatial experience and Mediterranean architecture.
